Gulf Unmanned Systems Center elected to establish its facilities in Carrabelle, Florida for its geography, available infrastructure, and demographics. GUSC stands alone in the ability to offer a diversity of training environments characterized by:

- Large usable land masses
- Replication of 80% of the Earth’s littoral regions
- Proximity to the Gulf of Mexico, land, riverine, coastal and jungle environments
